Governing Law and Regional Terms

How the service is operated, which law governs it, and the additional protections that apply to customers in Japan and Korea. Effective 15 September 2026.

1. Operator and copyright holder

The Grand Nebula service and this website are operated by JYK Ecommerce Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622). All copyright and other intellectual property in the service, its interface, and its original materials are held by JYK Ecommerce Limited. Grand Nebula is a trade name of the operator. Contact: support@grandnebula.com.

2. Governing law

These Terms and your use of the service are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.

3. Mandatory local protections

The choice of law above does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of the law of the country where you habitually reside. For customers in Japan, this includes the Consumer Contract Act and the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. For customers in Korea, this includes the Framework Act on Consumers and the Personal Information Protection Act. Where a mandatory local rule conflicts with these Terms, the local rule prevails to the extent of the conflict.

4. Customers in Japan

Prices are displayed in USD and charged by our payment provider; consumption tax treatment follows the provider's invoice. Under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, sales are conducted from Hong Kong by the operator named above; no physical office exists in Japan. Cross-border consumer complaints may be filed with the Cross-Border Consumer Center of the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan. Personal information is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Customers in Korea

For transactions with customers habitually resident in Korea, the operator acts as a cross-border electronic commerce seller under the Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Act. Dispute assistance is available from the Korea Consumer Agency cross-border consumer center. Any transfer of personal information outside Korea is carried out on the bases and with the safeguards described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Languages, changes, severability

Localized versions of this page are provided for convenience; the English text prevails in case of conflict. We may update this page as the service or applicable law changes; the effective date above applies. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.

7. Seller disclosures for digital sales

Seller: JYK Ecommerce Limited, incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622). Contact: support@grandnebula.com, answered within one business day. Service: online presentation transformation, delivered as a downloadable file immediately after processing. Payment: card methods processed by a PCI-DSS compliant provider; prices in USD as displayed, taxes per the provider's invoice. No physical goods are shipped.

Terms of Service

Effective September 14, 2026. These terms govern use of grandnebula.com and Grand Nebula Deck Studio.

1. Agreement and eligibility

By accessing the site or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

The Grand Nebula service is operated by JYK Ecommerce Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622), which holds all copyright in the service and its original materials.

Grand Nebula may update these Terms as the service changes. Material revisions apply prospectively after the updated effective date is posted.

2. The service

Grand Nebula provides a presentation-transformation workflow that analyzes an uploaded PowerPoint and creates a separate refined output. Results vary with source quality, slide complexity, fonts, charts, media, and the connected production environment.

The static interface may demonstrate the workflow without sending a file or creating a PowerPoint. Production processing is available only when a server endpoint is connected. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, with notice where legally required.

3. Paid services, billing, and refunds

If a paid plan or one-time service is offered, the price, currency, billing interval, taxes, and material limits will be shown before purchase. You authorize the payment provider to charge the selected method for the amount displayed at checkout. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time by emailing support@grandnebula.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no further charges are made after that. Charges appear on your statement under the descriptor GRANDNEBULA.

Unless checkout states otherwise, you may request cancellation and a refund before processing begins. Once processing has started or digital output has been delivered, refunds are limited to duplicate charges, failure to provide the purchased service, or rights required by applicable law. Approved refunds return through the original payment method.

4. Your files and output

You retain ownership of material you submit. You grant Grand Nebula a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, analyze, transform, and transmit that material only as needed to provide, secure, and support the requested service.

You are responsible for having required rights and permissions. Subject to third-party rights and these Terms, you may use generated output for personal or commercial purposes. You own the rebuilt deck delivered to you, subject to our intellectual property in the underlying service, tools, and models. Review output for accuracy, confidentiality, accessibility, licensing, and suitability before relying on or distributing it.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to violate law or another person's rights; upload malware or unlawfully obtained material; generate deceptive, abusive, exploitative, or infringing content; bypass security controls; interfere with the service; resell access without permission; or create unreasonable automated load.

We may block a request or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

6. Third-party services and models

Production processing may rely on hosting, storage, security, payment, and model providers. Zhipu GLM series models may power presentation analysis and generation in the connected deployment. Third-party services have their own availability and technical limits.

7. Intellectual property

The Grand Nebula site, interface, software, brand elements, and service design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service, no license to Grand Nebula materials is granted. All copyright in those materials is held by JYK Ecommerce Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Grand Nebula disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Grand Nebula is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, business, goodwill, or data. Aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of the amount paid for the affected service in the prior 12 months or USD 100. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Termination and disputes

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend access for material breach, unlawful use, security risk, or non-payment. Before filing a formal claim, contact support so the parties can attempt a good-faith resolution. Applicable law and mandatory consumer forum rules govern without limiting rights that cannot be waived.

Privacy Policy

Effective September 14, 2026. This policy explains how Grand Nebula handles information on grandnebula.com and in Deck Studio.

1. Scope and responsible service

This policy applies to the Grand Nebula website, Deck Studio, customer support, and production presentation processing operated through grandnebula.com. It does not govern independent websites linked from the site.

The controller of personal information processed through the service is JYK Ecommerce Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622).

2. Information we collect

We may collect contact details you provide, support correspondence, transaction status and limited billing records, technical request data such as browser type and security logs, uploaded presentation files, generated output, and diagnostics needed to complete or troubleshoot a request.

The interface stores your language and theme preference in browser local storage on your device so your choices persist between visits. No advertising cookies or cross-site trackers are set.

The current static demo does not transmit or persist the PowerPoint you select. A connected production deployment sends the file to a controlled server endpoint.

3. Why information is used

We use information to provide the requested transformation, deliver output, process transactions, respond to support, prevent fraud and abuse, secure and maintain the service, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.

Depending on context, processing is based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, consent, or legal obligations.

4. Presentation processing and AI

Production processing uses Zhipu GLM series models and may transmit presentation content to the configured model-processing environment solely to perform the requested transformation, apply safety controls, and troubleshoot a specific failure.

Grand Nebula does not use uploaded presentations or generated output to train public models, build advertising profiles, or serve targeted advertising unless you give separate, explicit consent under a written arrangement.

5. Payment information

The current static demo does not collect payment. If paid services are enabled, a third-party payment provider collects and processes payment credentials. Grand Nebula receives transaction status and limited billing information needed to fulfill the order, issue a receipt, prevent fraud, handle a refund, and keep legally required records. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

6. When data is shared

We disclose information only as needed to model, cloud, hosting, content-delivery, security, support, payment, banking, fraud-prevention, professional-adviser, and legal-authority recipients that perform a defined role. A successor may receive information in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale subject to continued protection.

Providers receive only information reasonably needed for their role and are expected to protect it and follow applicable data-protection obligations.

7. Retention

In demo mode, the browser does not persist the selected presentation. In production, uploaded presentations and generated files are scheduled for deletion within 24 hours after processing unless a shorter period is shown in Studio or you request a longer project workspace. Temporary troubleshooting copies are kept no longer than 7 days and are access-restricted.

Operational and security logs that do not contain full slide content may be kept for up to 30 days. Support records may be kept for up to 24 months. Transaction, tax, accounting, dispute, and fraud-prevention records are kept for the period required by applicable law, commonly up to 7 years.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to risk, including encrypted transport, access controls, least-privilege administration, logging, dependency maintenance, and separation of public website code from server-side credentials. No transmission or storage method is completely secure.

If a personal-data incident creates a material risk, we will investigate, contain it, notify affected users when required, and report to a competent authority where applicable.

9. Cookies and browser storage

The current site uses local storage only to remember the light or dark theme you select. It does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. If optional analytics or marketing cookies are introduced, this policy will be updated and a consent choice shown where required before those cookies load.

10. International transfers

Cloud, model, support, and payment providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual protections and other lawful transfer mechanisms, limit information transferred, and apply appropriate security measures.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask whether we hold your personal data, access it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority.

Email support@grandnebula.com with "Personal data request" in the subject line. We may verify identity and retain information where law requires it or where needed to protect legal rights.

12. Children

The service is intended for people aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.

13. Updates and contact

We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required.
